FIELD MERCHANDISERAre you a cheese professional ready to reach a national audience? Do you love sharing your enthusiasm for cheese with a broad audience? We’re seeking traveling Field Merchandisers to oversee the operation of our ever expanding number of shops nationwide. Responsibilities range from trainings, shop audits, workshops, to day to day operational problem solving. We are expanding our team with the expectations that our Field Merchandisers will one day move to another location in the country, and operate in that region. We are looking for experienced Cheesemongers or higher who are able to demonstrate the knowledge, enthusiasm, and high level of customer service for which Murray’s Cheese is known.The Field Merchandisers will report to the Director of National Retail Operations and will be expected to be open to relocation and travel of up to two to three weeks every month. Are you interested in a deep dive into the art and science of affinage? Passionate about cheese? We’re seeking Cheese Cave Interns for our Long Island City cheese caves: people interested in getting a deeper understanding of the cheese business. Our caves are a result of collaboration between the buying, selling, and production teams. Our Caves interns assist the affineur or cave manager in daily and weekly tasks such as unpacking and checking quality on all incoming cheese, selecting product for retail, hands-on cheese care, maintenance of the cave area and general inventory management, all while taking advantage of a curriculum of free classes in the evenings. Internships require a 3 month commitment. Applicants should be available for 2 full weekdays or 3 half weekdays, and must be able to work on Monday and/or Friday.
