Big Spoon! You’re gonna need one after you get a taste of these small-batch nut butters from Durham, NC. While with the Peace Corps in Zimbabwe, Big Spoon creator Mark Overbay experienced his first spoonful of hand-ground nut butters, mixed with local wildflower honey, and he knew there was no going back to the over-processed, brightly-labeled brands in the grocery store aisles at home. He tried. But in 2010, he got out his mortar and pestle, took a handful of just-roasted peanuts, and started recreating the singular, flavorful nut butter he’d tasted in Africa. The result of his efforts is nothing short of ridiculous deliciousness. Get your spoon-holding muscles warmed up and grab a jar.
