A traditional Austrian street food, käsekrainer is a plump pork sausage studded with Emmentaler cheese and smoked over apple wood. Once warmed through and lightly crisped, each sausage yields a gooey, melted cheese interior and a blend of sweet and smoky flavor. Emmentaler, an Alpine cheese, adds a touch of toasty, nutty undertones to the succulent pork. Try these sausages with roasted vegetables and a German ale.

Pork, pork fat, water, Swiss cheese (pasteurized cows milk, cheese culture, salt, enzymes), milk powder, less than 2%: salt, cultured dextrose, dried vinegar, garlic, spices, swiss chard powder, dextrose, natural flavors, lactic acid culture. Hog Casing. Contains Milk.
  • Through our partnership, Olympia Provisions orders will be shipped from an alternate facility outside of Murray’s. You will receive a separate tracking number from Olympia Provisions for your order.
  • Score your sausage on both sides before adding to a hot pan with a bit of oil. This ensures a perfect sear. You can also cook these on a grill, or over open flame.
  • For a hearty meal, pair these with roast new potatoes and a side of warm apple salad with grainy mustard. Or simply heat to serve alongside sauerkraut.
  • Established in 2009, Olympia Provisions was Oregon’s first USDA-approved salumeria.
