This original cocktail from NYC bartender Garett Richard (of ZZ’s Clam Bar and Existing Conditions) showcases The Macallan Double Cask 12 Year Old in all of its smooth, rich glory. With a mix of Scottish Heather Honey, Angostura bitters, and Double Strength Tea Syrup, this whisky beverage is one sweet, bright, and herbal stunner.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. The Macallan Double Cask 12 Year
  • Grated nutmeg
  • 3 dashes Angostura
  • 3/4 oz. lemon
  • 1/4 oz. Scottish Heather Honey
  • 1/2 oz. Double Strength Tea Syrup

Directions

  1. Combine The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old, grated nutmeg, Angostura bitters, lemon, Scottish Heather Honey, and tea syrup.
  2. Stir ingredients with ice cubes
  3. Pour over cracked ice into a punch glass.
  4. Garnish with nutmeg and a dehydrated lemon wheel.

Directions for TEA SYRUP

  1. Cold brew 4 oz. Paper & Tea Earl Grey tea in 16 oz. water for 8 hours.
  2. Strain mixture and weigh tea yield.
  3. Add equal parts of cold brewed tea and turbinado sugar
  4. Hand blend or mix until smooth
