Firehook Baked Crackers Multigrain Flax Crackers 7 oz
The first American crackers are said to have been invented in 1792 when Theodore Pearson of Newburyport, Massachusetts
made a bread product from just flour and water that he called Pearson's Pilot Bread. It was an immediate success with sailors because of its shelf life. This was the first cracker bakery in the United States, and produced crackers for more than a century. These crackers do not contain preservatives or artificial ingredients and have a shorter shelf life than many other crackers. For this reason Firehook makes each batch of crackers after their order has been received to ensure freshness.
