
We'll meet at Murray's at 7 AM for coffee, bagels, fruit and yogurt to satiate us in preparation for the long ride ahead. At 7:30 we'll load up the Urban Sherpa bus and be on our way to our first stop in Middlebury, VT
We'll arrive at the ultimate Vermont eatery, the Farmer's Diner, just in time for a healthy brunch. The owners of Dancing Cow Farm, Champlain Apiaries, & Vermont Heritage Grazers will join us to talk about their local farming operations, and the ingredients they produce will be featured in our meal. Menu highlights include Sangria Raspberry Lemonade, Vermont Smoke & Cure Brunch Kabobs, Garden Grill Bake & Chocolate Triple Berry Cream Pie.
Enjoy an exclusive tour of Vermont Butter & Cheese Creamery. We'll spend an hour walking the various departments of the creamery and learning how all the fantastic artisan Vermont Butter & Cheeses are crafted in this stunning facility. Hear the amazing story of Allison Hooper and Bob Reese while seeing the results of their trailblazing cheese journey.
After checking into our local three-star hotel, we will head over to Shelburne Vineyard as the special guests of Vermont Butter & Cheese to join them and other local food producers for a barbecue to celebrate the festival. Sip crisp, light Vermont wines and tuck into a freshly grilled burger as you watch the sun set over Lake Champlain. What a heavenly way to spend a Saturday evening!
After a leisurely continental breakfast at our hotel, we'll get back on the
bus for a short ride to the Festival, where we'll arrive just as the gates open.
Spend the day visiting the 50 cheesemakers, 20 wineries and breweries, and 15
artisan food producers who will be sampling their wares. Or, sign up for the
additional seminars offered, visit the Shelburne Farms cheesemaking facility,
get to know the local animals, or spend some time strolling the scenic acres and
lounging by Lake Champlain.
At 4:30, as the festival draws to a close,
we'll start our journey back to NYC.
