Prairie Fruits Farm
Ewe Bloom

Prairie Fruits is the result of two soil scientists, Wes Jarrell and Leslie Cooperband, who shared the agrarian dream of starting a dairy and fruit farm in the middle of Illinois corn and soybean country. Ewe Bloom is made from milk collected the same day on a neighboring Mennonite farm. Reminiscent of the French cheese Perail, Ewe Bloom's straw-colored paste sports perfect breakdown and delicate sheep flavor.

Meet The Maker

In the lush farmlands of Central Illinois, Wes Jarrell and Leslie Cooperband have been growing their herds of Nubian and La Mancha goats since 2005. They transform the milk into delicate creations with deep French influences, and we're lucky to get a handful of rounds from them when in season. Now working with a neighboring farm's sheep milk, these former soil scientists are expanding their repertoire, and we can't wait to see what's next.
