Sartori SarVecchio is an Italian-style table cheese similar to Parmigiano Reggiano. Slightly creamier and less salty, this snackable cheese has a firm, crumbly texture and sweet crunch, with notes of toasted nuts and caramel. Pair SarVecchio with any of your favorite parm accompaniments, from Prosciutto di San Daniele to a drizzle of Murray’s Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.

“This is that "everyday Parm" that always satisfies my craving without breaking the bank. I love it grated it on a salad, but only if I can resist snacking on it or sneaking it onto a cheese board.”

  • Sartori Sarvecchio is a Grana-style cheese, which puts it in the same family as Parmigiano Reggiano and Grana Padano. Grana refers to grains of rice, which is about the size that cheese curds are cut during the make process to give the cheese its signature firm, dry, and crumbly texture.
  • Sartori is a family-run company in Wisconsin that’s known for their Italian-style cheeses made using locally-sourced milk.
  • Sarvecchio is one of America’s most awarded Parmesan cheeses, having won titles from multiple World Cheese Awards and Global Cheese Awards competitions in the past decade.
When you receive your cheese, unpack the order and refrigerate the items. We recommend using the cheese paper we send most of our products in to store the cheese. The cheese paper helps cover the items and stop them from drying out, while also allowing the cheese to breathe. Since cheese is mold, it's a living thing! If you cut off air circulation to the cheese, you can actually cause it to suffocate and spoil at a faster rate.
  • Founded in 1939, Sartori is a fourth-generation family-owned and operated cheese company with deep roots in Wisconsin.
  • They source high-quality, rBST-free milk from local dairy farms.
  • Sartori cheeses have won a wide range of awards, including Best New Cheese in the World at the World Cheese Awards and Grand Champion at the U.S. Cheese Championship.
