preparation & ingredients

1 Choose Your Chèvre Adventure Kit

1 4-oz. log Vermont Creamery Goat Cheese

1 1/2 oz. Preservation Society Pepper Jelly

Pepper flakes or sweet peppers (optional)

4 strips Surry Farm Hickory Bacon

1 4-oz. log Vermont Creamery Goat Cheese

1 oz. B&R Farms Blenheim Apricots, finely chopped

1/2 oz. Murray's Rosemary Marcona Almonds, finely chopped

Rosemary leaves (optional)

1 4-oz. log Vermont Creamery Goat Cheese

3/4 oz. Murray's Sundried Cranberries, finely chopped

3/4 oz. Mitica® Caramelized Walnuts, finely chopped

Thyme leaves (optional)

For the Bacon & Pepper Jelly Goat Log: Preheat the oven to 425 F. Place the bacon on a baking sheet, and bake for 20-25 minutes until the fat is rendered but the bacon is not fully crisp. Allow to cool, then finely chop. In a small bowl, mix half of the bacon with the pepper jelly; delicately coat the goat log with the mixture to evenly cover all exposed sides of the log. Pat the remaining chopped bacon onto the log evenly, and garnish with pepper flakes or thinly sliced sweet peppers.
For the Cranberry & Walnut Goat Log: Add the chopped cranberries and walnuts to a small mixing bowl; mix to thoroughly combine. Firmly press the mixture onto the log to adhere and cover all exposed sides of the cheese. Garnish with thyme leaves.
For the Apricot & Almond Goat Log: Add the chopped apricots and almonds to a small mixing bowl; mix to thoroughly combine. Firmly press the mixture onto the goat log to adhere and cover all exposed sides of cheese. Garnish with rosemary.
