In crafting this recipe, Seemore smartly paired their herby Chicken Kale Pesto sausages with salty, tangy Buonatavola® Provolone. Just fire up the grill and prepare your accompaniments—the sliced sausage, bell peppers, and crostini. Then comes the main event, grilling up a skillet of melty provolone that gets drizzled with pesto. All that’s left to do is dip or pour your way through a deliciously cheesy and interactive meal.

Directions:

  1. Heat grill to 400 F, and place a small, well seasoned cast iron skillet on the grates to warm.
  2. Meanwhile, use the remaining space on the grill to cook the sausage slices, peppers, and bread to desired doneness and arrange on a serving platter.
  3. Add grated provolone to the hot skillet and close the grill. Allow to cook until bubbly and gooey.
  4. Carefully remove the skillet from grill and top with pesto. Serve immediately, dolloping the hot cheese and pesto generously on top of the sausage and other accoutrements with little to no shame.
Note: This can also be made in a 400 F oven if no grill safe skillet is available.
