Blueberry Lemon Splash

Blueberry Lemon Splash

A tart, fruity beverage for the end of summer.
  • Blueberry Lemon Splash 1
This cocktail is like a late-summer vacation to the coast of Maine—crisp, refreshing, and brimming with blueberries. We transform our Wild Blueberry Preserves into a delicious syrup (whatever you don’t use in the cocktail can be poured over ice cream, drizzled on fruit salad, or mixed into lemonade! It’ll keep for 7 days in the fridge). The sweet berry flavor is balanced by vodka, limoncello, and lemon juice, with a splash of seltzer to bring the bubbles. As long as you’re sipping this spritz, summer will never end.

  • For the Cocktail:
  • 2 oz. vodka (we like Our/New York vodka)
  • ¾ oz. limoncello
  • 1 oz. lemon juice
  • 1 ½ oz. wild blueberry syrup
  • 2 ½ oz. yuzu or lemon seltzer
  • Lemon wheel
  • Blueberries

For the Cocktail

  1. To make the syrup, add Murray’s Wild Blueberry Preserves and 1 ¼ cup water to a microwave-safe container that’s big enough to hold the contents with plenty of room on top. (Tip: the jam jar holds 1 ¼ cups, so you can use that to measure out the water). Gently stir together.
  2. Microwave at 1-minute intervals for a total of 4 minutes, until the mixture appears thicker than water when streamed from a spoon. It’s okay if the jam solids are floating at the top.
  3. Allow the syrup to cool completely, then pour through a strainer to remove the solids.
  4. To make the cocktail, combine the blueberry syrup, vodka, lemon juice, and limoncello in a cocktail shaker.
  5. Add ice and shake for 15 seconds.
  6. Strain into a glass over fresh ice, and top with the seltzer. Garnish with lemon wheel and blueberries and enjoy!
