  • This jam is made using heirloom Crispin apples, apple cider vinegar, pure cane sugar, apple brandy, cinnamon and allspice.
  • The Crispin apple, otherwise known as the Mutsu, is a hybrid of Golden Delicious and Indo apples.
  • They were first grown in Japan before making their way to the U.S. in the late 1940s.
  • The apples are simmered in cider, brandy, and an autumnal mix of cinnamon and allspice.
  • The jam is made using a small batch apple brandy or applejack sourced from Black Dirt Distillery in Warwick, New York.
  • This applejack is aged in oak barrels for a minimum of four years.
