The Campfire Cheese Board
Whether you’re camping or just camping out in your living room, this spread is the ultimate way to cozy up with something delicious. We’ve put together a platter of savory cheese, rich meats, and sweet, smoky accompaniments that are meant to be passed around a fire, including a creamy blue that’s covered in whiskey-soaked leaves, mouthwatering sliced bresaola, and spicy pickled carrots for snacking. The depth and savor of these picks are ideal for an “opposites attract” pairing with milk chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers.
preparation & ingredients
Arrange the cheeses on a round board, placing the Greensward, Hornbacher, and Shakerag Blue equidistant from another. Surround the Greensward wheel with the Appalachian slices and Tumbleweed chunks.
Make neat piles of Summer Sausage and Catsmo Salmon on either side of the cheese-ringed Greensward, respectively. Then surround the inner edge of the Hornbacher and slices with Bresaola.
Arrange a pile of Carriots of Fire next to the Summer Sausage, along the edge of the board. Arrange a pile of Firehook Sea Salt Crackers along the edge of the board between the Hornbacher and Shakerag Blue.
Fill the center of the board with Roasted Salted Cashews, leaving room for a small jar or dish. Then make a pile of Moonwalk chocolate bits along the edge of the board next to the Hornbacher.
Place a jar of Smoked Onion Jam in the empty space in the center of the board. Serve with s’mores or other campfire snacks.
